Prolific 3D Tech — An Engineer-Led 3D Animation Studio
Founded in 2015 by a mechanical engineer who wanted to change the way manufacturers see their own machines. Bootstrapped, MSME-registered, and ten years in business without a single outside investor.

Why a Mechanical Engineer Started a 3D Animation Studio
Prolific 3D Tech was founded in 2015 by Jay Bhatt, a mechanical engineer who spent the early part of his career making 3D animation videos of the machines his employer built.
That work exposed a gap he could not unsee. The engineers understood their equipment completely. Almost nobody outside the engineering room did. Drawings communicated dimensions but not function. Photographs showed a grey box on a shop floor. Neither carried the thing that actually made the machine worth buying.
He started this studio to close that gap — to bring life to the aesthetics of a machine, and clarity to the process running inside it. Ten years later that is still the whole job description.
Not Just a 3D Animation Studio — A Problem Solver With 3D Technology
This is the line that separates us from other animation studios, and we mean it literally. An animation studio takes a brief and returns a video. We start one step further back, with the problem behind the brief: why is this customer not understanding the equipment? Why is this tender stalling? Why does every enquiry need the same forty-minute explanation?
Sometimes the answer is an animation. Sometimes it is a 360° tour, an AI-guided virtual showroom, an interactive configurator, a set of rendered images, or a physical 3D printed scale model for an exhibition stand. The 3D technology is the tool. Solving the communication problem is the point.
It also means we will tell you when a shorter, simpler deliverable will do the job better than the one you asked us to quote.
Ten Years, Bootstrapped
Prolific 3D Tech is an MSME-registered company that has grown for a decade without a single outside investor. Every studio upgrade, every hire and every new capability — from technical animation to AI-powered virtual showrooms — has been paid for by work we delivered and clients who came back.
Being bootstrapped shapes how we work. There is no funding round standing behind a missed deadline, so we are careful about what we promise and deliberate about what we take on. It is a slower way to build a company, and it is the reason we are still here after ten years while the brief was changing underneath us.
What We Believe
Faith in God, faith in ourselves, and a real appetite for solving problems. Those three have carried this company further than any strategy deck. The first keeps us steady when a project or a year gets difficult, the second keeps us taking on work slightly bigger than we have done before, and the third is why clients come to us with the awkward problems rather than the easy ones.
The Engineering Behind the Visuals
Because the studio was started by an engineer, our models are built from real CAD geometry rather than artistic approximation. That is why our output is used inside technical proposals and tender documents, not only in brochures. Our founder has been recognised among the Top 10 SolidWorks Users of India by Dassault Systèmes, and spoke at SolidWorks Innovation Day in 2016 and 2017.
We work with manufacturers in pharmaceutical and biotech equipment, chemical and process plants, packaging machinery, food processing, water and effluent treatment, material handling and general heavy engineering — across India and overseas.
What We Do Today
The studio now covers the full range of industrial visualisation:
- Technical 3D animation — machine, process, plant, installation and maintenance sequences
- AI-powered virtual showrooms — India's first, built for BEW Engineering Ltd
- Interactive 360° tours and plant walkthroughs
- 3D rendered images, CGI and 3D printed models
- Corporate and event videography
You can see the work in our portfolio and read what it achieved in our case studies.
Where We Work From
Our studio is in Vasai East, Mumbai, and we work with manufacturers across India and internationally. Files are shared online and reviews happen over calls, so distance has never decided who we can work with.
